South Sudanese Women in Medicine (SSWIM) is a dynamic, membership-based non-profit organization rallying the agency of South Sudanese women medical doctors, pharmacists, and dentists to transform the health landscape of South Sudan. SSWIM exists to amplify the voices, roles, and influence of medical women across the country, because we believe that sustainable healthcare systems are only possible when women in medicine are empowered, connected, and at the forefront.
We are more than a professional body. We are a movement that mobilizes collective expertise, nurtures leadership, and drives equitable access to quality healthcare, especially for women, adolescents, children, and persons in need of mental health services.
In a nation navigating the complex intersections of fragility, inequality, and health system gaps, SSWIM is forging a new path, one where medical women are not just part of the health system but central to its transformation. We are the hands that heal, the voices that advocate, and the minds that innovate for a healthier South Sudan.
If you believe in health equity, women's leadership, and the power of professional sisterhood, then SSWIM is your movement, your network, and your home to join or support.
